Quoddy is a hundred year old family owned shoe company based in Maine. The company has such a unique brand story -- every single shoe is crafted entirely by hand and the quality of the shoes became a testament to the individual skills and experiences that went into making them.
OBJECTIVE
With poor brand recognition, we wanted to re-position the brand to compete with brands like Cole Haan, John Varvatos, TOD’s, Ralph Lauren, Sperry Top Sider, Hunter Boots, and others. The goal was to position the brand to a younger demographic through educating the consumer behind the history and quality of craftsmanship that goes into each shoe. With an emphasis on storytelling, we split the product line into three categories and romanced the brand through gifts to serve as a vehicle to continue the brand journey post-point of sale. Along with a limited edition brand booklet, the gifts were tied with the functionality of the shoe to create a holistic experience.
